Transag Centre Limited is a privately owned and operated company that has been
providing unbeatable service to the greater Manawatu region for over 18 years.
If you need a tractor, farm machinery and accessories, or if anything on the
farm is in need of repair, Transag should be the first point of call. Transag
(short for Transport and Agricultural Services) are renowned in the region for
providing first class service at competitive prices.
The company (formerly Domett Tractors) has been wholly owned and managed by
Merv Avery since 2002, having been a partner since 1985. It has long been the
company’s philosophy that anyone can sell anything, but you have to give
the service and the backup to go with it – something that Transag does
extremely well.
Customers are important at Transag Centre, and many just keep coming back.
With a team of some 12 experienced staff, jobs done by the company still have
a personal touch.
The main operation of Transag’s business still revolves around tractors.
Transag Centre is the only Case IH dealer in the region, and have a relationship
with the company that goes back many years. Transag, along with Case IH, strive
to stay at the forefront of the changing industry by keeping up with new techniques,
equipment, both in terms of supply and service.
With computerized systems from fault diagnosis through to parts ordering,
Transag sets the standard for speedy turnaround times and high quality work.
We have direct access to Case IH for checking out parts and service bulletins,
and if we don’t stock a part we can get it from Australia in two days.
Transag is also a leading farm machinery dealer, and are agents for many leading
brands of farm equipment – including Pearson front-end loaders, McIntosh
Krone, Alpego, Oalbo, Reese Manip and Quicke loaders and Berends Implements.
The Haymaster hay rake is also manufactured on site by Transag and distributed
to other dealers throughout the North Island.
These are all proven brands that Transag can do all follow-up work on –
including service, repair and supply of all spares and accessories.
As well as up-to-the-minute machinery, Transag can repair or replace parts
off older models. We have four service vehicles that are fitted-out as ‘mini
workshops’, and have no hesitation about traveling to jobs. If you are
within the boundaries of Manawatu, Rangitikei, Horowhenua, Masterton, Wellington,
Wanganui, Waiouru, Ohakune or Dannevirke, Transag will come to you.
Another part of Transag’s extensive service is motor truck repairs.
Transag has the expertise to fix any problems that may arise with your vehicle
– particularly International Harvestor trucks, and carry parts.
